Hudson Schirra Car Accident – On a tranquil Sunday morning, a horrible multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 75 South resulted in one death and seven injuries. The tragedy, which occurred before morning and sent shockwaves across the neighborhood, was responded to swiftly by emergency services and law enforcement. According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, this horrible accident was caused by the careless decision of a driver who was driving in the incorrect direction.

The accident happened shortly before Hudson Bridge Road, closing both sides of the busy road for many hours. This generated considerable traffic congestion and impacted the entire area. The Stockbridge Police Department promptly responded to the incident, launched an investigation, and worked to piece together the chain of events that led to such a horrible outcome.

The heinous crime occurred about 5:20 a.m. on a calm Sunday morning. While traveling north in the southbound lanes of I-75, Alyssa Johnson, 23, was revealed to be the principal cause of the incident. Johnson’s Volkswagen collided with a GMC Yukon during this catastrophic wrong-way drive, causing a chain reaction that destroyed two tractor-trailers and a third car.

The ensuing devastation was tremendous. Johnson was discovered dead at the scene of the collision, which caused her automobile to catch fire instantly due to the force of the hit, according to the Stockbridge Police Department. Johnson’s vehicle collided with a GMC Yukon, which was carrying seven passengers at the time. Despite the intensity of the disaster, the Yukon’s occupants escaped with minor injuries—a little consolation in an otherwise dire circumstance. The seven persons were brought to the hospital in order to begin their recovery and receive medical assistance.
